About
Jonathan Kimble, fine artist, art collector, muralist, and mentor from Detroit, received his BFA degree in illustration from College for Creative Studies in 2020. His work reflects expressionism, fun mark-making, and material exploration through mixed media. Jonathan’s practice involves embracing the unexpected, creating opportunity for visual problem solving. His first artwork in publishing was published with BLAC Magazine. This far, Jonathan has participated in galleries such as the 2022 DTE sponsored “Connected to all” Exhibition, Detroit Historical Museum. Irwin House Gallery, and MOCAD (Museum of Contemporary Art). Jonathan’s passion for the community has led him produce mural work in “Avalon Village” in Highland Park, MI and sell art collaborating with Mack Alive and SHAR. He is a proud member of the Detroit Fine Arts Breakfast Club. Jonathan was invited by Detroit Pistons during their groundbreaking 2023 Sneaker Grab event, in which he performed live paintings of Pistons Legends and sold portrait paintings. Jonathan is determined to serve the audience with pure imagination.
